Rolf Trostel to bardzo wrażliwy artysta. Nagrał tylko kilka płyt które lubię w całości. Wydawnictwo Inselmusic" to była moja pierwsza płyta CD jaką kupiłem w sklepie Generator. To była w ogóle moja pierwsza płyta na kompakcie. Którą potem mi skradziono. No cóż. Mam nadzieję że podobała się kolejnemu właścicielowi. Wiele lat czekałem na nieznane mi nagrania Rolfa. I niedawno poznałem zawartość unikatowej płyty pt. Live in Berlin 1983. Koncert być może zarejestrowano z miejsc dla publiczności bo bardzo wyraźnie słychać aplauz, a wprawne ucho usłyszy komentarze fanów podczas cichszych fragmentów. Myślę że pochlebne i nikt się nie nudził, bo koncert był znakomity. Muzyka w swoim charakterze podobna do tego co można usłyszeć na "Two Faces", 'Der Prophet", nagrane rok wcześniej. Przyznaję jednak, że zdziwiłem się gdy usłyszałem rytmy i solówki bardzo podobne do tego co zagrał Klaus Schulze na Audentity. Serio. Nie wiem czy podobieństwo było zamierzone czy wynikało z użycia podobnego instrumentarium, ale to identyczne klimaty. No i ten sam znamienny rok 1983. Muzyka urozmaicona, reakcja publiczności żywiołowa. Ponad godzina podzielona na odcinki pt. "Pankenhallen" i "Kreuzkirche'. W sumie 8 ścieżek. Niemiecki kompozytor potrafi zagrać nostalgiczne (technikę którą wiele lat później rozwinął na "Narrow..") ale na tym koncercie przeważają utwory mające rytm, melodię i sekwencję. Trostel jest w znakomitej formie. Wszyscy się dobrze bawią, wyraźnie to słychać.
Zastanawiam się tylko czy to nie bootleg, bo nie ma o nim nic na disclog ani Bandcamp Rolfa. No i czy aby na pewno nie grał tam Klaus Schulze?

And recently I got to know the content of the unique album Live in Berlin 1983. The concert may have been recorded from the seats for the audience because the applause can be heard clearly, and a trained ear will hear comments from fans during quieter passages. I think it was flattering and nobody was bored, because the concert was excellent Music similar in character to what can be heard on "Two Faces", "Der Prophet", recorded a year earlier. However, I admit that I was surprised when I heard rhythms and solos very similar to what Klaus Schulze played on Audentity. Seriously. I don't know if the similarity was intentional or it resulted from the use of similar instruments, but the atmosphere is the same. And the same significant year 1983.
