Sam Rosenthal - Before The Buildings Fell

English tekst below

Autor mieszka w Ameryce i nagrywa też jako Black Tape for a Blue Girl.

*Before The Buildings Fell* by Sam Rosenthal is one of those albums whose discovery feels especially close to my heart—a truly rewarding experience. Originally released on cassette in 1986, the music has since been reissued several times, including a CD version in 2000 and, more recently, an expanded edition in 2024. Making these recordings available to a wider audience via Bandcamp was a great decision. The artist, who lives in America, is also known for his work with the project Black Tape for a Blue Girl. This music is so beautiful that it invites repeated listening, offering fresh, positive impressions each time. Anyone who enjoys electronic music from the 70s and 80s will immediately recognize the era’s signature approach to building atmosphere—utilizing recurring motifs and delicate melodies that make this collection so easy to fall in love with. Though often melancholic in tone, the music evokes sublime emotions and genuine, moving sentiments. It has instantly earned a place in my personal canon of the 20 most important albums in this genre. Even a world-renowned, acclaimed synthesizer virtuoso would be proud to have created such work. My deepest respect to the artist!

City of Dawn - Transient Lounge

City of Dawn - Transient Lounge

English text below
Autorem projektu City of Dawn jest Damien Duque nagrywający swoją muzykę w McAllen, Teksas. A ta potrafi zachwycić. Polecam!

City of Dawn is the project of Damien Duque, who records his music in McAllen, Texas. Such biographical details reveal little about the artist unless you have actually heard his music—which can be truly enchanting. "Transient Lounge" falls squarely into the realm of "ambient," "guitar ambient," and "drone," drawing inspiration—as the composer himself explains—from life and its various emotions. With great skill, Duque paints harmonious sonic landscapes that offer profound relaxation, solace, and healing. Indeed, this is the artist’s explicit intention: for his music to serve as a form of remedy for various ailments of the mind. By employing the long, sustained phrases characteristic of this genre and treating his sounds with a variety of effects, Duque demonstrates a highly unconventional imagination. The album evokes vast, meditative spaces—an invitation to a journey that, however, comes to an end rather quickly; it consists of only five tracks and lasts no more than half an hour. Yet, this is time well spent, and you can explore—or purchase—more of his work on Bandcamp. Highly recommended!

Damian Koczkodon - Mental Voyage

Z instrumentów wirtualnych - pakiety Arturia i program DAW: Mixcraft 10.6.
Miłego słuchania dla tych którzy lubią taką twórczość.

In September 2026, I managed to release my third album, which I’d like to promote here. The material draws loose inspiration from various eras, places, and cultures across the globe, but above all, it serves as an invitation to enjoy some ambient music. While there are plenty of recordings of this kind online, I decided to share my own work as well. As with my previous release, I used the following instruments: Moog Messenger, Roland Gaia 2, Yamaha CS1x, and an Arturia Essential 49 keyboard. For virtual instruments, I used Arturia packs, and for the DAW, Mixcraft 10.6.
I hope those who enjoy this style of music find it an enjoyable listen.

Damian Koczkodon - Time for Reflection

Pod koniec czerwca 2026 roku wydałem album zatytułowany *Time for Reflection*.

Instrumenty wykorzystane do nagrania albumu: Moog Messenger, Roland Gaia, Roland Gaia 2, Yamaha Cs1x, Arturia Essential 49, Arturia Minilab 3, gitara elektryczna Pacifica. DAW: Mixcraft 10.6. Do nagrania nie wykorzystałem sztucznej inteligencji.

In late June 2026, I released an album titled *Time for Reflection*. It is a collection of various tracks, ranging from the cheerful to the contemplative. Musically, it involves various experiments that nonetheless fit within the framework of classic electronic music. There is less programming here and more manual playing. I make no claim to demonstrating virtuoso performance skills or dazzling instrumental acrobatics; instead, I focus more on creating an engaging atmosphere.

This album is dedicated to my family and friends. Those who have passed away and those who remain. Instruments used to record this album: Moog Messenger, Roland Gaia, Roland Gaia 2, Yamaha Cs1x, Arturia Essential 49, Arturia Minilab 3, Pacifica electric guitar. DAW: Mixcraft 10.6. I did not use AI for recording.

Damian Koczkodon - Wizard

 Damian Koczkodon - Wizard

 English wersion below

W lutym 2026 roku opublikowałem w serwisie Bandcamp swoją kolejną płytę "The Wizard". Jest ona wyrazem szacunku dla twórczośći Ursuli K. Le Guin, amerykańskiej pisarki której wyobraźnia i humanizm pociągają mnie od lat młodzieńczych. Jej książka "Czarnoksiężnik z Archipelagu" (ang. A Wizard of Earthsea) została wydana w Polsce w 1983 roku.  Opowiada o dojrzewaniu młodego człowieka i konsekwencjach jego wyborów. Serdecznie polecam!

In February 2026, I released my next album, "The Wizard," on Bandcamp. It's a tribute to the work of Urszula K. Le Guin, an American writer whose imagination and humanity have captivated me since my youth. Her book, "A Wizard of Earthsea," was published in Poland in 1983. It tells the story of a young man's coming of age and the consequences of his choices. I highly recommend it! It's one of the few fantasy titles I return to again and again. The music I created isn't a strict illustration of the book's content, but rather an attempt to interpret its atmosphere and record my compositional condition. The music wasn't created using artificial intelligence, so it includes all my technical imperfections. That's how it should be. I'm an independent creator, so this work is completely free from pressure and suggestions from others. Essentially, it's created for my own satisfaction. If you like it, I'd be pleased, but ultimately, that doesn't matter much in the face of eternity. The music was recorded on Moog Messenger, Yamaha CS1X, Roland Gaia 1 and 2, Donner B1, Arturia Beatstep, and many virtual instruments from Arturia and Cherry Audio packages.
